October 7, 2026The publication builds on contributions by Bengi Bezirgan-Tanış, Grace Azar, Joanna Azar, Chantale Ibrahim, Kristine Margvelashvili, Maja Gergorić, Tanja Vučković Juroš, Mare Ushkovska, Maryna Shevtsova, Oana Băluță, Ionela Băluță, Oliana Sula, Šárka Kolmašová, Simge Pelit, Susana Galán, Tatyana Kotzeva, Timo Koch, Tuba Kancı, Veronika Valkovičová, and Zoran Mastilo.
Rather than presenting the sixteen cases separately, the report adopts a pattern-first comparative approach, identifying recurring frames, strategies, actors, and trajectories of anti-gender mobilisation, while also highlighting important national and regional differences. A key contribution is the integration of CEE and SWANA cases within a shared analytical framework, allowing the report to identify both common scripts and context-specific configurations, as well as major gaps in the existing scholarship.
